This tile-based game rocks! Puzzles are addictive, tough and frustrating at times, but still interesting enough to capture you. Really love the different levels of game play, be it triggering of buttons, splitting of the blog into two, fragile tiles and so on. The concept of how the concentrated weight of the block is needed to activate special buttons is really intelligently thought of.

NOTE: For your own enjoyment, you should not skip any stages using the passcodes that I’ve provided here. These passcodes are here so that if you just want to replay the 30th stage, you would not need to play through 29 stages. Get what I mean? Good.

Been procrastinating for the longest time, but finally committed time since the beginning of this week to look at this marvelous 3D rendering engine for Flash.

Papervision3D, or PV3D in short, is a high performance 3D engine which you can use in your Flash 8, Flash CS3 and Flex projects. It is available in both AS2 and AS3 for development.

Where are all these files stored after installation?

First, navigate to the configuration folder:

Windows 2000/XP:

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Flash CS3\<language>\Configuration\

Mac OS X:

Hard Drive/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Flash CS3/<language>/Configuration/

From here it is easy to locate where the new files were installed.

• Components are installed in Components folder (.swc/.fla).
• Libraries are installed in Libraries folder (.fla).
• Commands are installed in Commands folder (.jsfl).
• Tools are installed in Tools folder (.jsfl + .png + .xml[optional]).
• Panels are installed in WindowSWF folder (.swf + .jsfl[optional]).

During the session, Ryan asked how did I placed my presentation slide in Flash IDE as a side panel. Simply copy and paste the desired .swf file into the WindowSWF folder and restart Flash IDE. After which, from the menu bar, navigate to Window -> Other Panels. You should find your panel there.

Just saw the next event being listed on FSUG, and it’s called Show and Tell - AIR + FLEX + Flash!

I’ll be presenting the last session that day, Cool Flash Tips and Tricks. Not exactly the title that I had in mind, but oh well, all the better. I’ll unveil the title officially on that day then.
